In this paper, a method based on 2-D data of inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images is proposed. The wide azimuthal aperture at a single elevation is divided into subapertures, taking advantage of the sparse decomposition and basis pursuit denoising (BPDN) algorithm, the method extracts the 2-D points from different subapertures and makes vectorial resultant, meanwhile to evaluate veracity of the regenerated signal. The method maps these 2-D points to the ground plane to get the trajectory chart of scatterers, and Hough transformation can help to extract 3-D scattering centers of target. Abstract

Scattering center extraction is the key content in the study of the characteristics of radar target. In this paper, a method based on 2-D data of inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images is proposed.
