Abstract
We report the results of tests using barium-ferrite magnetic particles that, while difficult to disperse uniformly, offer the advantages of high coercivity, small particle size, and the chemical stability common to oxide compounds. We also report on the feasibility of high-density flexible magnetic disc systems employing such media and a GMR head.
