Abstract
Multiport converters are a promising concept for use in renewable-energy and hybrid power sources. These converters are highly beneficial, as conversion can be carried out in a single stage even while interfaced with multiple input power sources (hybrid). This paper provides an introduction to multiport converters and a comparison with conventional converters.
