In this paper, the fuzzy Jaccard preference relation ranking index with decision makers' perspective is proposed in ranking the alternatives. The method is applied in evaluating lecturers' teaching performance at one of the universities in the East Coast of Malaysia. Abstract

The fuzzy evaluation method which used fuzzy linguistic variables throughout the procedure and aggregated the fuzzy numbers based on the standard score concept has been proposed by [1]. The method applied the centroid concept in ranking the alternatives. Although the centroid concept which is a class of mapping fuzzy numbers into single point or known as defuzzification is relatively simple and easy to implement, the defuzzification tends to lose some information and, thus, is unable to grasp the sense of uncertainty.
