A multi-channel PWM method applies multiple carrier signals to the PWM method. In this paper, the flicker characteristics of 2–4 channels current-controlled PWM dimming method are numerically analyzed. Abstract
This paper presents the flicker characteristics of a multi-channel current-controlled PWM dimming method of LED lightings. A multi-channel PWM method applies multiple carrier signals to the PWM method. In this paper, the flicker characteristics of 2–4 channels current-controlled PWM dimming method are numerically analyzed. As a result, we found that the low Flicker Index can be achieved over wide dimming ranges by using the multi-channel current-controlled PWM method.
