Abstract

Mobile networks, typically, Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs), bring a new opportunity for sharing data on mobile devices. To provide available data storage and sharing service, we propose a mobile storage architecture in MANET called LCS-MANET, in which the key algorithm is Location Centric Storage (LCS) algorithm. In LCS-MANET, the nodes are classified into two types: storage nodes and common nodes. We implement location centric data storage algorithm on storage nodes and also design the data replication algorithm upon them.
