Abstract

When white space radio systems of the same type are operating in the same geographic location, coexistence problem can be solved by self-coexistence mechanisms embedded in such radio systems. However, when neighbor white space radio systems are of a different type, external coexistence system is required. This paper presents implementation of such coexistence system based on the IEEE 802.19.1 standard. Also, it shows dynamic behavior of the developed coexistence system when it is providing coexistence services to IEEE 802.22, IEEE 802.11af, and OneSeg radio systems operating at the same area.
