Abstract
Fixation of some radioactive isotopes, from aqueous and phosphage solutions, on illite and bentonite minerals showed that the interaction between the radioactive isotopes and these minerals followed ion exchange and the adsorption mechanisms. The relative importance of each depend on the type, the nature, and the size of the radioelements.
