Abstract

A renewable energy system RES with cooperation of diesel driven autonomous doubly fed induction generator is presented in the paper. The analysis takes into consideration the power system, where the main power source is a variable speed diesel engine, which operates in full range of power consumption. The RES source is used for diesel engine fuel reduction. The paper presents power distribution between the two sources during supply of isolated load. Reduction of fuel consumption by the use of variable speed operation of diesel engine is also discussed.
