Abstract
This paper presents the numerical comparison of the slotted and slotless stator core design of the submersible brushless DC motors with permanent magnets for the oil and gas industry. The comparison was performed by using Ansoft Maxwell software package. In addition, the most efficient rotor magnetic system and winding type was selected. The results can be used in the design of submersible BLDCMs for the oil and gas industry.
