Firstly, the normalized template of ears can be obtained by the operation of normalizing the photo of ear and standard template. Secondly, the feature edge of the ear and standard template can be extracted respectively by using a method of edge detection based on gray-scale morphology and local threshold segmenting. Afterwards registration is performed. Thirdly, the extracted feature edges are analyzed through the proposed screening algorithm, and the optimal ear model is obtained from the library of the standard template. Therefore, a final portrait model achieved by assembly the optimal ear model to the original model.
