Abstract
Heat transfer in the transient flow freezing on the external surfaces of circular cylinders in a bundle with in-line arrangement is studied, numerically. Low Reynolds numbers are considered, therefore, flow is assumed to be symmetric.
Local and average Nusselt numbers are calculated, at different time steps. The steady state average Nusselt numbers are compared with the reported experimental results. Their agreement is reasonable.
