Abstract
In recent years, a visible light communication (VLC) is developed rapidly. One of its application is in a hospital for avoiding electromagnetic interference (EMI). Some researchers conclude that a hospital should have less, even no, EMI, that can be produced from the use of radio frequency, such as Wi-Fi. One of instruments used in a hospital is called a posturometry. In this paper, we propose a prototype, which is a development from [8], to send a posturometry data using VLC. It consists of a white LED as the transmitter, Programmable System-on-Chip (PSoC) as the controller and a phototransistor as the receiver. It can send data in a distance of 2 meters and every 15 ms per bit. A detail explanation is presented in this paper.
