Insulation Detection Technology and Its Application of AC-DC Distribution Cables

Abstract

Cable equipment will inevitably suffer from insulation degradation during long-term operation, resulting in reduced electrical insulation strength and even failure. The development of cable detection technology provides a strong guarantee for the reliability of power supply in distribution networks. This article firstly introduces the detection technology, and divides the detection technology into live detection, online monitoring and offline detection. Secondly, it summarizes the detection principles, main detection methods and key technologies of the three detection technologies, and discusses various detection technologies. Finally, its application in cable is validated.
