Abstract

Although energy is one of the most important resources in urbazition, it is also one of the main drivers of the climate change. To ensure energy is managed more efficient, the traditional means of distributing energy through a power grid should be enchanced to make use of the smart grid concept. Internet of energy (IoE) is the main solution to collect, monitor, and manage the power grid. The machine learning (ML) is the tool to optimize energy usage and increase efficiency. In this paper we provide an overview of the joint use of IoE and ML in power grid as a transitionary step towards a smart grid, and provide a summary of results. An illustrative example for the case of the city of Batman is also provided.
