Abstract

Multiple access interference is the major limiting factor for the channel capacity especially when it is desired to have an overloaded code division multiple access system, in which the number of users is larger than the dimension of signal space. To resolve the problem of overloading we exploit the multicarrier communication and a proposed scheme, which uses pseudo-user along with parallel interference cancellation detector. The proposed scheme assumes that spreading code for all the users is the same throughout. Multiple access interference is removed with very little computations and performance in bit error rate is almost user independent.
