The central probe-feed cylindrical dielectric resonator (DR) is used for exciting TM modes with omnidirectional radiation pattern. And on this basis two types parasitic elements are etched on the top of DR and p-i-n diodes are placed for driving corresponding parasitic elements as reflectors or directors and changing current path. Abstract
