Abstract

Service Providers are relying on Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), an ETS/ industry specification, to achieve on-demand delivery of network services by avoiding long hardware deployment cycles. ETS/ NFV supports dynamic workloads by scaling out virtual network functions (VNF) using industry standard high volume servers, switches and storage infrastructure. Further, NFV enables the /T administrator to quickly identify capacity bottlenecks and migrate tenant services for effective resource utilization.
