TURİZMDE BÜYÜME: WEB OF SCIENCE (WoS) VERİ TABANINDAN BİBLYOMETRİK BİR ANALİZ

Abstract

This study aims to make a bibliometric analysis of published studies on tourism growth. It was scanned from the Web of Science database based on the publications with the phrase "tourism growth" in the title. No field filtering was done during the scanning process and a total of 941 publications were reached. When the source countries of the publications were examined, it was determined that they mostly originated from China, the United States of America, and Turkey. The top three most frequently keywords are economic growth, tourism, and tourism development, respectively. While Turkey has the highest average number of citations, Eastern Mediterranean University has the highest number of studies and citations. In addition, the panel co-integration method is widely used in studies. There is no consensus on the relationship between tourism and economic growth. The findings differ according to the selected sample and period.
