The role of television drama in spreading security awareness

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the effectiveness of the televised drama in the spreading of security awareness. The researcher used the transparent method (analytical method), the study reached some results: Sudanese televised drama is increasing societal security, seeking TV drama to deploy security awareness among the public addressing the issues related to societal security. The televised drama contributes effectively to raise security awareness of the targeted audience by discussing social phenomenon in dramatic discourse, the researcher presented some recommendations as the need to promote security awareness among Sudanese televised channels to achieve the set purpose, the role played by media security should be encouraged and activated as specialized informative platform in security issues during crises, to be extended from the continues training of individuals working in the dramatic field on how to manage crises and disasters.
