This research was conducted in all areas of Gresik Regency. The classification of land cover types is determined by determining the maximum and minimum threshold values through the threshold test. The results of this study indicate that there has been a decrease in the area of green open space within a span of 5 years. In 2021, the area of green open space is only 160.15 km² or 13% of the total area of Gresik Regency. : Industrial estate development attracts a large number of workers from both inside and outside of Gresik Regency and requires land where industrial facilities are built. The increase in population in Gresik Regency also has an impact on the increasing need for residential land.
