Abstract

In increasingly digital collaboration, trust between employees and their managers is significantly influenced by intact information flows and ethically correct interaction. A high level of information within relationships increases the ability to trust and is therefore a decisive success factor, especially in digital leader-follower-relationships. However, actual research has not yet demonstrated a clear relationship between trust and information in virtual work environments. This paper addresses this research gap and provides initial indications of the correlation between the two parameters on the basis of theoretical calculations.
