Abstract

We propose a fast, simple method of reconstruction, similar to x-ray ct, where the physical parameters are calculated from frequency domain data and back-projected to form an image of the region of interest. Images are shown for centimeter size inhomogeneities with optical properties similar the those of human tissue. Data is collected single and multiple inhomogeneities from linear scans with a source-detector separation of 5 cm (source λ=793 nm, frequency=120 MHz). While, objects are located correctly with this technique, optical properties are recovered only qualitatively.
