A digital satellite receiver with an advanced user friendly interface

Abstract

We have successfully developed a new PerfecTV! IRD (integrated receiver decoder) with several features utilizing advanced merits of digital satellite broadcasting. This paper describes these features including the structure of the hardware and software, an algorithm of the data filtering method, and special functions that viewers can operate easily.
