Design of Intelligent Defecation Monitoring System for Newborns

Abstract

In this paper, a new design of intelligent defecation monitoring system for use in maternity wards is introduced. By monitoring the newborns' defecation situation intelligently in real time, and send a warning signal to the background management system through wireless communication right after the occurrence of defecation, the system can prompt the nursing staff to change the diaper for the baby just in time. The successful implementation of the system can promptly remind the nursing staff right after the newborn finished the defecation, avoid the symptoms such as red buttocks, eczema and other symptoms, thus minimize the accordance damages to the newborns, improve the satisfaction of the family, and greatly reduce the difficulty of newborns' care.
