Abstract

The article considers the issues of increasing the accuracy of calculation of electric energy losses in medium voltage electric networks. The existing models for estimating electricity losses do not take into account the consequences of operating an overhead line. The factor of the reduction of the section of the wire of the overhead line during operation is taken into account. The dependence of the technical component of the losses of electric energy, the amount of destruction of the wire of the overhead power transmission line as a result of the influence on the electric arc wire, the values of the arc fault current and the arc length are determined. The dependence of the amount of destruction of the wire of the air line on the parameters of the arc process was experimentally obtained.
