Abstract

A new dimension has been added to monolithic integrated circuit (IC) voltage regulators. A combination of circuit, device and processing innovations has led to the development of the ?A7800 series of 3-lead, 20-watt voltage regulators which feature output current capability in excess of 1A, low noise, and excellent regulation. They are available in fixed output voltage options covering the range of 5V to 30V using a built-in internal resistor matrix.
