Abstract

This paper emphasizes on a Hurricane Search Algorithm (HuSA) in order to find out the optimal solution of economic load dispatch (ELD) problems, where different linear, nonlinear constraints are also considered. In this research work, two test systems have been considered, one is 15 unit test system and other is 160 unit test systems by using HuSA technique. The simulation results illustrate the superiority of HuSA approach over other existing optimization techniques on the basis of the convergence behavior and optimal fuel cost.
