A K-band design has been presented. A simple and straight forward technique in the form of ground plane shaping has been employed. Strategic truncation of the ground corners reveals a significant improvement in back-radiation across all planes. It also helps in improving XP characteristics over both orthogonal and diagonal planes. Abstract
This work explores an advance design of millimeter wave (mm-wave) subarray using microstrip elements by mitigating the issues of back side and cross-polarized (XP) radiations.
