Abstract

This article examines the notion of ‘‘social entrepreneurship" in its widespread use from an analytic, critical, and creative standpoint, taking into account either the ‘‘social" and the ‘‘entrepreneurship" aspects of the term. There is a wide variety of usage on both points, with substantial variations characterized by factors like the importance of social objectives or what are considered to be the prominent characteristics of entrepreneurship.
