Therefore, the destabilizing effect of a converter dominated medium voltage grid has been investigated using simulations. Based on this, a novel voltage-dependent approach has been developed to increase the overall system stability with focus especially on a required damping factor provided by the energy grid. This has been obtained by an enhancement of the converter control structure and an operation point dependent stabilizing factor. Abstract
