Planning and Governance in the preservation of the environment: reflections on environmental technologies combined with the promotion of regional and local development

Abstract

This editorial presents the articles in the special edition of the tenth volume of the Revista Brasileira de Planejamento e Desenvolvimento (RBPD). In this issue, as in previous ones, the works brought contributions on planning and development, as is customary in this journal. In this issue, the first article presents the perceptions of local actors about the process of regional development in the municipality of Peixe-TO with the construction of the Peixe Angical Hydroelectric Power Plant (UHE). The next article highlights the attributes of the main natural elements responsible for carrying out evapotranspiration in the Forest and how they can be incorporated into bio-inspired design solutions, in order to promote their application in the construction of the urban environment, in São José dos Campos - SP, to expand their evapotranspiration rates. The third article intends to contribute with new subsidies to the decision process in public and private companies in hydroelectric projects, emphasizing that the model is dynamic and conjunctural, and can be adapted
