By extending router advertisement message with new options, mobile router can get link information and choose most appropriate access point to attach based on its preference when entering foreign networks. Abstract
Extended from mobile IPv6, NEMO basic support protocol provides mobility management for whole moving networks, but results in suboptimal routing and long handover latency. NEMO基本支持协议从移动IPv6扩展而来,为整个移动网络提供移动性管理,但导致路由次优和切换延迟长。当多个MRs相互连接并形成分层嵌套移动网络时,次优问题就会加剧。为了优化路由,提出了APS (access point selection)方案,防止移动网络高层嵌套。移动路由器在进入国外网络时,通过扩展路由器通告消息的新选项,可以获取链路信息,并根据自己的偏好选择最合适的接入点进行附加。选择接入点后,可向移动网络提供路由优化。
