Recommendations for selecting the characteristics of diamond bars, when plateau-honing cylinder liners of internal combustion engines

Abstract

Research has been carried out to select the characteristics of diamond bars for preliminary fl at-topped honing. The effect of non-diamond bars with molybdenum disulfi de during the fi nal honing of the cylinder liners of the internal combustion engine on the profi le of the fl at-topped surface has been studied.
