Abstract
This research is on generating switching pulses for operating a double purpose converter using microcontroller. This paper describes the operating principles of a common circuit which contains two power electronic converter circuits. This common circuit structure can perform controlled rectification and dc chopper actions. Each power electronic conversion circuit requires a particular switching pattern for their desired output. Microcontroller based pulse generation is completely described and simulated in this paper.
