Abstract

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is an important source of spices and essential oil, which belonging to Zingiberaceae family and propagated by rhizomes. Zingiberaceae family is a tropical group consisting of more than 1200 plant species in 53 genera. The genus Zingiber includes about 85 species of aromatic herbs.
