Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. Data were collected from 118 canteens in 2020 of small private kindergartens in Nam Tu Liem district. Food safety facilities and practices were assessed via observation with a checklist. Results: The proportion of canteens meeting overall food safety requirements was 51.2%. The rates of canteens meeting requirements of infrastructure, equipment and utensils, food processing practice, food sources documentation, and human capacity were 52.5%, 95.8%, 84.7%, 95.8%, and 99.2%, respectively.
