[Birth weight, parturition and meat production in the dairy cow population].

Abstract

Birth weight was found to be closely related to calving behaviour. With all variations in Friesian dairy cattle, rising beef yield proved to be achievable even along with medium birth weight, so that calving complications and resulting decline in reproduction can be avoided.
