Abstract

This paper proposes a novel method for single-frequency radio frequency interference (RFI) detection based on decision fusion of two Doppler maps for over-the-horizon (OTH) radar. Since this RFI appears as a point in the frequency-Doppler (FD) map and as a straight line in the range-Doppler (RD) map, we can make local decisions in the FD and the RD maps firstly, and then determine the SF-RFI position based on decision fusion. Accordingly, the detection method consists of three algorithms, i.e. the point detection, straight line detection and the decision fusion. Experiments demonstrate that this method is effective and robust in detecting the single-frequency RFI, including the weak RFI and those near the sea-clutter.
