Abstract

The objective of this paper is to design a closed loop control scheme for optimal drug scheduling during chemotherapy. For this purpose, a PID controller is designed and implemented to regulate drug concentration and toxicity. Whale optimization technique is used to evaluate the design parameter values of PID controller leading to, WOA-PID. Further simulated annealing tuned PID (SA-PID) is also designed for comparison purpose. Simulation results reveals that WOA-PID provide effective drug scheduling during chemotherapy in comparison to SA-PID.
