Current labor market trends in the area of information technology in Slovakia

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe recent development of the labor market in IT area. Trends in labor supply and as well as labor demand are discussed. The primary focus is on current situation in recruitment: what are the job requirements of companies and how they are changing over time. We also concentrate on characteristics of job candidates in IT, their demographic profile and shifts in their preferences. Our analysis utilizes the data from job portal Profesia.sk and from salary surveys from the website platy.sk.
