The paper describes the existing scientific approaches to the category of comparison, characterizes the structural, semantic and stylistic features of stable comparisons in the Russian, English and Lezghi languages. It is established that stable comparisons in the studied languages, as a special category of phraseological constructions, are thematically diverse and are used to characterize the actions of a human, objects, situations, phenomena of the reality. It was found that stable comparative expressions in the studied languages are built according to similar models and have a two-component structure. Abstract
This article attempts to examine the meaning and the form of the category of comparison.
