Unified National Digital Framework for Exchange and Storage of Medical Image Information

Abstract

The shift from local hospital processing and data collection to unified national-level presentation and access is one of the most challenging IT and medical tasks today. The National Scientific Programme “e-Health in Bulgaria” is designing a brand new infoway for medical images storage, access, exchange and use. This new design and the requirements it lays on are presented in this work.
