MedNcrypt: A Blockchain based Decentralised Health Record Storage System using IPFS

Abstract

The use of blockchain technology has shown great potential in various fields, including healthcare. This paper proposes a decentralized medical record storage system that utilizes Inter Planetary File System (IPFS) to store and retrieve medical records. The system uses blockchain technology to ensure secure and tamper-proof storage and retrieval of medical records while allowing patients to have full control over their own data. Implementation of smart contracts can be done to automate and streamline the process of granting access to medical records to authorized parties. The proposed system has several advantages over traditional medical record storage systems, including improved security, increased accessibility, and reduced costs. The proposed system has the potential to revolutionize the way medical records are stored and managed, and can greatly benefit patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders in the healthcare industry.
