Abstract

A set of software development indicators has been prepared by the ESD/MITRE Software Center for use by program managers at the Air Force Electronic Systems Division (ESD). These metrics can be used to help track the progress of software development by providing better visibility into the development process. This paper describes the metrics and a strategy for their application and reporting.
