Abstract
Theoretical and experimental approaches of the propagation of high frequency waves in tunnel are described. The frequency range extends from 900 MHz to 10 GHz. In the experimental part, it is interesting to know, not only the mean value of the attenuation constant but also the important variations of the field amplitude due to multiple paths. Indeed this effect must be taken into account to elaborate the optimum coding of a digital transmission.
