A new method for the evaluation of gait pathology: a radar chart approach

Abstract

Gait analysis is widely recognized as a significant step in movement function evaluation, and in the planning of treatments for subjects with movement disorders such as those caused by cerebral palsy. As result of gait analysis, a large amount of data is complicated to use and difficult to interpret. It is important to find a method to analysis, process and explain data. The purpose of this paper is to develop a new approach to describe the gait features with radar chart based on gait quality index (GQI). As a result, the radar chart shows advantages in describing different kinds of gait disorders.
