Abstract
An analytical solution of the electrodynamics problem is presented for a rectangular waveguide with a dielectric plate located in the H-plane when longitudinal EM Y-polarization is used. Dispersion equations for E and H types of waves are obtained that allow one to determine the spectrum of critical wavelengths and the frequency dependence of the proper electrodynamics parameters.
