Fifteen minutes after hospital admission, he suffered sudden cardiac arrest, for which resuscitation was commenced immediately. Repeatechocardiographyrevealedmassivepericardialeffusion,resultingincardiactamponade. Pericardiocentesiswasperformed, but the ensuing resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
