Online Community Among Industry workers based on Web 2.0 - OCAIw

Abstract

Almost all industries create their own official homepages to introduce their primary mission and products. But, because they are not connected with other industry homepages and don't offer a place that workers can express their thoughts and share common interests with other industry workers, cyber cultures among industry workers couldn't have built. In this paper, we propose an Online Community Among Industry workers (OCAIw) that workers in different industries can interchange or share their technical information, participate in discussion of their experiences on work, share their common interests, and be provided latest news in real-time. Our results show that OCAIw can contribute to make a healthy virtual culture.
